Tracey Gardiner

Tracey Gardiner joined Bognet Construction in 2008. She started as the Marketing Coordinator and has risen to Vice President of Preconstruction Operations. She was named a partner of the firm in 2018. Tracey guides the team to provide overall coordination and strategy from the initial budget, through the bid phase and to the beginning of construction. She has extensive relationships with Bognet’s customers and subcontractors to ensure that Bognet understands their goals, concerns and requirements for every project. Tracey has also made her mark in the commercial real estate industry through her active participation. She serves on the Board of Directors for Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association (CREBA), a member of CREW DC, a member of DC Real Estate Group, a JDRF Real Estate Games committee member and a past board member of the Jubilee Support Alliance Auxiliary Board.

Aimee Scott

Aimee joined the company in 2014 to address the needs of our growing team. Her tireless focus on our people and our culture ensure that Bognet remains a great place to work. In her role as the Vice President of Human Resources, she is responsible for the strategic direction and management of all human resources functions across the company. In addition, Aimee manages our IT strategy including the implementation and management of our IT infrastructure.

She has driven multiple strategic initiatives, including improving employee engagement and retention, redesigning health benefits, launching an enterprise wide performance management system, converting the company to a fully transparent cloud based payroll system, transitioning the company from a SIMPLE IRA to a new 401K pretax retirement benefit, and migrating IT infrastructure to the cloud.  In addition, she oversees the corporate social responsibility and engagement committee.

Aimee is recognized for her experience across multiple leadership positions in human resources, communications, strategy development, and operations. She is known for her effectiveness in driving results and her passion for HR.  Aimee served as Co-VP on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Society for Human Resource Management from 2019-2022.

Aimee holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication/Public Relations from George Mason University. She earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications in 2014.

Aimee enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid animal lover, supporting local rescue organizations.

John Hennessy

As the Chief Financial Officer, John is responsible for the financial aspects of the company including strategy, financial and tax matters, corporate law, investments, and investor relations. John manages the accounting staff and the investment portfolio.

He also serves as the President of the Greater Washington DC chapter of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

Trevor Hirst

As Executive Vice President, Trevor is responsible for the operational aspects of the company. Trevor’s leadership style focuses on developing the best and brightest talent into seasoned construction professionals. His broad experience in base building and tenant construction projects allows Bognet Construction to accomplish a wide variety of needs for our clients successfully. His efforts have moved Bognet into the top tier in our industry.

Trevor grew up in a family-owned residential construction company but studied law in college. After many years working at a law firm, he realized his true passion was construction, so he worked in construction law and eventually transitioned into construction project management. Trevor serves as Co-Chair of the Gala Committee for the CoreNet Mid-Atlantic Chapter and is also a Vistage Worldwide member. Trevor has been in the construction industry for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University.

Michael Coyle

Mike joined Bognet Construction in 2000 and has played a significant role in executing the company’s long-term goals, culture and strategic operations. As a Senior Vice President, Mike brings deep expertise in construction best practices and a detailed approach to project implementation. He leads a team that has delivered some of the largest and most prominent projects. His primary responsibility is to guide clients through all the stages of the project, including cost estimating, value engineering, material selection, schedule development and subcontractor selection, in order to help them fully understand the construction process. Mike previously worked for a nationwide contractor and The Leapley Company and has broad experience in large tenant construction, base building and historic preservation. He earned a degree in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Mike lives with his wife and three children in Bethesda, MD. Outside of work you can find him traveling, skiing and coaching youth sports.

Jennifer Bognet

As Executive Vice President, Jennifer works closely with the Bognet executive team and is oversees many aspects of the firm including corporate strategy,  and customer & community relations. 

During her tenure as Executive Vice President, she cultivated talent and promoted from within to build an outstanding executive team, and she was instrumental in expanding a small family-owned business into a premier firm that builds award-winning projects for the region’s most notable organizations. In 2021, she was involved in the implementation of a new employee stock ownership structure, a natural evolution of Bognet’s culture of entrepreneurship and collaboration. 

She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Old Dominion National Bank (ODNB) and serves as the Audit Chair. She has held leadership positions in many commercial real estate industry organizations and philanthropy including The Greater Washington Board of Trade, Commercial Real Estate Women, Tysons Partnership, Leadership Greater Washington, Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center Lombardi Women, and Women Giving Back.  

Prior to joining Bognet Construction, she worked in the tech industry in both sales and systems engineering for Oracle Corporation and Marriott International.
