Green building aligns with our company values of providing our clients with the best possible service and a quality finished product all while fostering teamwork, maintaining integrity, and helping the environment. With green building practices ever-changing, Bognet implements our “Never Stop Improving” value to stay on top of best practices and are dedicated to educating our staff and clients on the latest programs and policies. Bognet Construction has expertise in LEED and WELL-certified projects, as well as with local regulations, including DC Green Code.
Bognet works with experts to ensure all LEED, WELL, and DC Green Code projects meet and/or exceed minimum recommendations. We have a 100% success rate in green building certifications.
We develop a construction waste management plan that identifies materials to be recycled, locations of specific material hauling locations, and recycling centers for each material.
We develop an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) management plan where project specific approaches to limit VOC and/or indoor contaminants within and around the project space are utilized.
We employ a stringent LEED submittal process including the verification, research and record-keeping of submitted green building products. This avoids issues that could result in increased cost or the loss of a targeted LEED point.
We work hand-in-hand with the project team providing cost/benefit analysis and feasibility review to maximize the possible LEED points while staying within budget.
In conformance to the LEED action plan, we take the required photos that are critical to the LEED submission process.
Our LEED team will collect information, perform calculations and analysis, and prepare documentation demonstrating our achievement of the prerequisites and credits in order to complete the online submission to the USGBC.
