Bognet Fast-tracks Modern Elegance for Chevy Chase Trust

The Bognet Way, a RELENTLESSLY PROACTIVE® mantra, was showcased during the early phase of construction as the existing condition of the space presented a new set of challenges.

The team rapidly mobilized to remediate unexpected issues such as water damage restoration, leveling floors, installing bulkheads, and refining ceiling finish from an industrial to a classical aesthetic.

“The team never said, ‘No we can’t.’ Challenges were handled with patience and flexibility,” said Mark Gentili, Project Executive for Bognet Construction.

As the General Contractor, Bognet Construction led meetings with the client, property owner, architect, and trades.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better client” praised Karl Morgan, Superintendent for Bognet Construction. “The client was actively engaged in the project; communicating with our team daily and aligning expectations.”

The trust formed between Bognet and vendors was evident in the precise coordination of the custom finishes such as the distinctive wood millwork.

“The wood walls were a priority,” said Morgan. The foundation needed to be uniform before the millwork could be installed. It took coordination among the millworker, glass manufacturer, drywall, and flooring specialists.  The architect along with a millwork engineer remained onsite adjusting, re-engineering, and consulting with the Bognet team.”

The completed millwork was a stunning representation of the client’s vision with rich wood tones bringing a modern elegance to the space.
